“The police did not open the door”

Erin Leiva, her mother Eryn said, went out Tuesday night and told him she was dropping a friend off at her house. He didn’t come back.

“We started looking for her and found the live location of her phone. I went to the apartment, started drinking like I had never knocked on a door in my life and no one answered,” he said.

Eryn Castellanos said she called the police. Officers arrived, knocked and said they were not answering and “couldn’t invade privacy.”

The next day, Univisión noted, they returned to the apartment and when police entered, two bodies were located.

“That, I think, is every parent’s worst nightmare. “No one would like to receive that phone call saying they identified my girl,” the young woman’s mother said.

“It hurts me so much because we had been to that door before and the police had not opened it,” Castellanos laments.

The bodies were located in an apartment in West Los Angeles, where a friend gave the friend access to stay, La Opinión published.

The other body was not immediately identified, according to Univision.

Erin’s aunt, Sharon Guevara, also said she doesn’t believe in drugs.

Erin’s mother confirms that the case is “not being investigated” because they believe it is drug related, “but I ask God to give the authorities the desire to do some more investigation so that they can do justice to my daughter .” (JO)
