A breakthrough Apple gadget is very close. Chinese factories are to work “at full capacity”

Apple’s incredibly advanced augmented reality goggles are just around the corner. According to unofficial reports, Vision Pro is at an advanced stage of production and will be available for sale sooner than expected. For now, however, there is nothing to be happy about.

Announced as a completely groundbreaking device, the glasses are intended to help us connect the virtual world with the real one. They will be controlled using eye movements, commands and gestures and will allow us to interact with virtual content against the background of the real image in front of us. Unfortunately, to buy such a gadget you will have to break down a huge piggy bank of savings. Apple has not officially announced the exact start date of sales, but now we get some positive information.

Apple Vision Pro is just around the corner. Production at an “advanced stage”

It seems that people who will be able to spend several thousand zlotys on a new toy can already count down to the premiere. Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg journalist famous for many accurate information about Apple devices, reports that the Vision Pro goggles should hit the market in February 2024. However, the American manufacturer plans to start sales without much fanfare.

According to the informant, the production of the goggles is already at an “advanced stage”, which means that the company is in the final stages of introducing the new product to the market. Gurman claims that the production of the gadget in China is already “at full speed”, and in the United States, training of employees (including those at Apple sales points) in its use has started. At the same time, a memo was sent to independent application developers asking them to “prepare” to release software that will work with Vision Pro.

Preparations for the goggles to enter the market are said to be a huge challenge for Apple, because Vision Pro is a completely different product than any other product released so far. In addition to issues related to the preparation of software, the challenge may be to prepare appropriate corrective lenses for people with vision impairments. However, it is still unclear whether such glasses will be offered as standard or whether customers will have to pay extra for them.

However, it does not seem that goggles will be an easily accessible product – at least at the beginning. According to reports, the supply of the device is to be very limited and it is unclear whether the gadget will ever be available outside the United States. Apple apparently came to the conclusion that Vision Pro would be too expensive for the average person to afford. Let us remind you that the price of the device was set at USD 3,499, which at the current exchange rate translates into PLN 13,750. And that’s before taxes are added.
