An Israeli film director showed a documentary about the bloody attack of October 7 in Jerusalem this Wednesday. Hamas against the techno music festival Tribe of Nova, which killed 350 participants.
The film, titled “Do not go” and which lasts 52 minutes, recalls the tragic experience of the 3,000 revelers who took part in that festival, about five kilometers away from the Gaza Stripsubject to a strict lockdown Through Israel since 2007.
That macro party turned into a bloodbath due to the attack by hundreds of militia members of the Palestinian Islamic organization Hamas.
“I wanted to explain the history of a party,” said the documentary’s director, Dan Peer.
He explains that he has been working day and night for the past two months to create this documentary through 212 videos, voice messages and surveillance camera footage, which he obtained mainly thanks to the survivors of the attack.
Dan Peer said he didn’t want to show the bloodiest moments ‘out of respect for the victims’, but That does not alter the fact that the documentary is shocking..
Israel will take control of the Gaza Strip when the war is over, Benjamin Netanyahu has said
In the film you see trivial moments such as a group of friends exchanging messages about how to dress for the party or young people dancing while eating sweets.
But it also shows how the situation turned into hell. “I am very scared,” says a young man as he registers the first rockets launched from Gaza against Israel.
Then the Hamas fighters appear, claiming they wanted to kill “thousands” of attendees at the event, while some of them called their parents asking “why the army didn’t arrive to defend them.”
