NEWS.ru: R-FON’s main consumers are government and corporate customers
The chief developer of the Kremlin.ru website, IT expert Artem Geller, said that the main consumers of the domestic R-FON smartphone will be users from the corporate and public sectors. This was reported by NEWS.ru.
According to Geller, the consumer and corporate segments have completely different tasks: for example, for the latter, the market can produce equipment in small batches. In general, the specialist called R-FON an acceptable device for government agencies and corporations. “This is an average device in a good sense, which is sufficient for work,” the author emphasized.
Artem Geller also noted that these smartphone users do not need outstanding characteristics. “Officials will use them, but they won’t buy these devices themselves,” Geller said. However, according to him, officials can purchase these devices for themselves, “if there is a political direction.”
The domestic smartphone R-FON and the ROSA Mobile operating system were presented in Moscow on December 18. The device received a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, and a camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The cost of the device is not disclosed; R-FON will go on sale in early 2024.
