Google has enabled electronic signature (eSignature) for all individual Workspace subscriberswhich allows small businesses to request the signing of contracts and manage the already completed contracts through Docs and Drive.

Native support for eSignature is a tool primarily aimed at professional users, such as small businesses and freelancers, who can request signatures and manage contracts in Docsor sign contracts and other official documents yourself via Drive, details Europe Press.

Over the summer, these features were made available to Workspace subscribers as part of an open beta, and have now been made generally available to individual Workspace users, as Google reports on its official blog.

Moreover, the technology company has expanded the features of this tool, which allows an audit trail report to be included in all completed contractsrequest the signature from more than one person and even from non-Gmail users.

Also in beta is the ability to place an electronic signature on PDF files stored in Drive. The company plans to expand its features soon with PDF templates and custom text fields. (JO)
