Bloomberg: iPhone 16 will have a separate button for taking photos and recording videos

The iPhone 16 series smartphones will feature a new button. Bloomberg reports this.

According to insider Mark Gurman, the button will be located on the right side of the device. In American versions of Apple smartphones, there is a mmWave antenna in this place, which will be moved to the left side. The specialist tentatively called the new element “Capture Button”.

Gurman explained that by pressing a button, you can quickly take a photo or record a video. This will be a touch, rather than mechanical, control that will allow pressure to be recognized and individual commands to be activated.

The specialist promised that the Capture Button will appear in all smartphones of the iPhone 16 series. The author recalled that the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have an Action Button, which replaced the silent mode button. This element can be customized by assigning one of several functions.

Mark Gurman also said that in 2024 Apple will release Vision Pro, AirPods 4 and iPhone 16. The headphones will receive active noise reduction, and the smart watch will come out with new medical functions.
