Bloomberg: in 8 Chinese provinces, government employees were banned from using Apple equipment
In eight provinces of China, government employees were banned from using Apple equipment. Bloomberg reports this.
According to the agency, officials began receiving instructions to switch to locally made devices one to two months ago. Workers from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Anhui, Shandong, Shanxi, Liaoning and Hebei were urged to refuse Apple equipment. Hebei is home to the world’s largest iPhone factory.
It is clarified that small government firms and agencies in “lower-level” cities require employees to verbally refuse American products.
Earlier it became known that the leadership of the Central Bank (CB) will prohibit the regulator’s employees from using Apple equipment for official purposes from December 25, 2023.
