Marcela Caballero and Gabriel Núñez arrived from Grand Prarie, Texas, and traveled to Tulum, a Mexican paradise surrounded by the sea. There fate surprised them.

An explosion destroyed the apartment the couple had recently acquired, seriously injuring them.

There is said to have been an LGP gas leak in the area. “A stationary gas tank exploded because there were gas leaks,” explains the couple’s daughter, Brenda Saldaña.

The couple – Univisión noted – were rescued from the house by firefighters and paramedics from the Civil Protection.

The husbands have died and their children are demanding justice. They told Telemundo Dallas that “they traveled to Mexico to furnish their new home.”

They were looking for the house of their dreams and were convinced that this was the house they had found in Tulum. They said they would stay there when they retired.

Brenda Saldaña said her parents were very fighters and workers. The couple traveled to Tulum last month and on Saturday, November 18, 2023, the accident happened.

A couple of husbands, their 13-year-old daughter and their two pets are found dead in an apartment east of Caracas: what caused this tragedy?

They had sent their children videos of the spacious apartment. They have been happy since August, when, according to Univisión, they received the keys to the house, located in Selva Norte, Tulum. That was the fruit of so many years of work in North Texas.

Negligence?

Brenda Saldaña insists several people noticed the smell of gas. “After what happened, many neighbors spoke and already complained to the developer about the gas smell and a gas leak, so this was due to negligence,” Brenda said, according to Univisión.

It is something that can be prevented.

The family of the deceased told the aforementioned media that they are seeking advice from a lawyer because they plan to file a lawsuit.

“My father had burns on 98% of his body and my mother on 85%,” the victims’ daughter told Telemundo.

Brenda has a brother and both will try to get those responsible for the condominium to show their faces.

Adding to the pain of their disappearance was the fact that they were buried in two countries, Telemundo explained.

They died five days apart, Univision said. Marcela was buried in Michoacán, Mexico; to her husband Gabriel in Arizona, United States.
