To say that GTA 6 is the most anticipated game in history is to say nothing. 10 years have passed since the release of the last installment of the series, and impatient players have been waiting for any signal from Rockstar studio for a long time.
Such a signal appeared a few weeks ago, when the British studio announced that it would present a trailer of the latest GTA in early December. Its premiere was planned for Tuesday, December 5 at 15:00. Unfortunately, on the night from Monday to Tuesday, the clip was leaked to the Internet. For this reason, the creators decided to show it earlier.
Our trailer has leaked, so please watch the original on YouTube
– wrote Rockstar on the X platform.
It’s finally here! Here’s the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI!
The first trailer of GTA 6 lasts one and a half minutes and takes us to Vice City, the city where the plot of the production will take place. We also meet the two main characters of the game – Lucia and James. What is worth paying special attention to is the absolutely phenomenal audiovisual setting of the game. Anyway, see for yourself:
At the end of the trailer, a board appears informing about the game’s release date. This is scheduled for 2025. However, it is worth remembering that in the past Rokcstar has postponed the premieres of its titles. Therefore, for now, we should not pay any particular attention to this date.
The great GTA 6 data leak. Photos, videos and gameplay found their way online
The leak of the GTA 6 trailer is not the first incident related to Rockstar Games’ production. In September 2022, recordings showing fragments of gameplay from the new GTA were leaked on the GTAForums forum. There were 90 different clips. The recordings showed several elements of the game in the development phase, including the world map, shooting and character movement mechanics, and enemy AI.
Initially, it seemed that we might be dealing with an internet joke like many others. However, the worst-case scenario for Rockstar Games quickly came true. First, the authenticity of these recordings was confirmed by Jason Schreier from Bloomberg, one of the most reliable journalists in the gaming industry:
This is one of the biggest leaks in the history of video games and a nightmare for Rockstar
– he commented on Twitter. A day later, Rockstar broke the silence:
We recently experienced a network breach in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded sensitive information from our systems, including early footage from the next Grand Theft Auto.
– the company wrote in a statement.
