Izvestia: Russia has reached an absolute record for smartphone sales
An absolute record for smartphone sales has been set in Russia – more than 27 million devices have been sold since the beginning of the year. This was reported by Izvestia with reference to market participants.
For example, in 11 months of last year, 22 million devices were sold, and in 2021 – 26 million.
At the same time, leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin claims that by the end of the year 33.5-34 million smartphones will be sold – more than ever. Murtazin adds to the statistics data on the gray import of devices.
According to TelecomDaily CEO Denis Kuskov, there has been a slowdown in purchasing activity in the country; Russians believe that the situation has stabilized, so they are ready to spend money, for example, on buying a new phone. In addition, as Kuskov notes, part of the population’s wages have increased significantly, so they are also ready to make purchases.
