A former CIA agent who served in the U.S. Embassy in Mexico pleaded guilty after being accused of committing several sexual assaults. His name is Brian Jeffrey Raymond.

The 47-year-old man is being investigated for serious crimes: drugging and sexually abusing at least twenty women in several countries, including Mexico and Peru, El Comercio reported on Monday, November 13, 2023.

Brian Jeffrey Raymond worked “for a time at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City.” Univision also reported that he pleaded guilty to four counts of drugging and abusing several women. He faces a maximum prison sentence of life in prison.

Who is Greg Lawson? He fled the United States in 1991 before a jury found him guilty of attempted murder and the FBI found him in Mexico.

He recruited his victims on Tinder

A report from that television network stated that “that man presented himself on Tinder as a mature, pleasant man who loved to travel.”

In a video published to expand on the news, Univision added that Brian Jeffrey Raymond “speaks English, Mandarin and Spanish.”

The image that appeared on the aforementioned social network was far from reality: “a sexual predator was hiding behind it.”

Univision emphasizes that, according to the US Department of Justice, this man abused at least 24 women in Mexico while he was part of the embassy staff; and in the United States.

How they discovered it

According to the American press, these abuses took place over a period of fourteen years. Univisión added that his “criminal profile came to light in 2020.”

“That year, police officers from Mexico City moved into an apartment where that man lived. It was located in Polanco and was rented by the US government,” the news network reporter explained.

They showed a document stating that a woman asked for help from that apartment. She was naked, they said.

That woman told authorities she lost consciousness while drinking a glass of wine with Raymond.

The FBI stated that the victim had been “using drugs and prescription medications.” The woman denied that accusation. “And Raymond denied the accusation.”

This was “Operation Masquerade” against alleged sexual predators in Atlanta, which has 11 inmates and five Hispanics.

It contained more than 400 images of naked women

The investigation progressed and they found evidence on his cell phone. Univision reported that the CIA agent recorded the sexual abuse. On their devices, “the FBI found 487 images of naked and unconscious women.”

After a long criminal trial, the suspect pleaded guilty. A girl from Virginia who contacted Raymond via Tinder was one of his victims.

The ‘sexual predator’, as he is described in the media, will be sentenced in September 2024. “He faces a maximum prison sentence of life in prison,” they emphasized.

They explained on Univisión that “the most serious crime” was committing a rape within a jurisdiction of the US government, that is, the department where they saw that woman asking for help in 2020.
