What would happen if the phone is replaced with a more efficient device? This is exactly what Humane proposes: a to start created by former Apple employees, who are evolving a body apparatus with artificial intelligence (IA) to put the mobile phone aside.
It is about ‘Humane Ai Pin’, a small magnetic pendant that you can attach to the lapel of your shirt or jacket, as if it were a pendant. The device consists of three main elements: a laser projector, which allows you to turn the palm of your hand, a table or other nearby surface into a screen; a 360-degree camera microphone with micro sensors; and a Qualcomm superchip, to connect to the servers of artificial intelligence of the most advanced versions of Chat GPT.
Ai Pin is the size of a thumb. ‘Time’ magazine named it the best invention of 2023 and will hit the US market on November 8.

Imran Chaudhri, co-founder of Humane, stated in a TED talk that this device can do that perform multiple tasks: recognize objects, perform translations in real time, project touch interfaces on any surface. Furthermore, it works as personal assistant and complete different tasks thanks to the sensors and cameras.

Humane Ai Pin was first shown at the end of September during the Coperni fashion show in Paris. What’s really striking is that, it seems, It does not require a mobile phone or connection to other equipment to function.
Artificial intelligence won’t take away your job, it will just make it more interesting, says Google CEO

A recent report from The information indicates that Humane’s AI Pin wouldn’t be cheap; perhaps the only failure of the device. The wearable, which would include a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, would cost about $1,000. But the story wouldn’t end there, because we would have to pay a monthly subscription to use it. (JO)
