YouTube has recently been intensively encouraging users to switch to the Premium package. Now we have more bad news, because we will pay even more for the paid one.
YouTube Premium is becoming more expensive in Poland. We will pay PLN 11 more for the family package
YouTube sent e-mails informing about the increase to its users on the night from Wednesday to Thursday. All packages available in Poland are becoming more expensive, but family subscription users will definitely suffer the most. Its price increased from PLN 35.99 to PLN 46.99, i.e. by as much as PLN 11. A less severe increase awaits subscribers of the individual package. Its price increased from PLN 23.99 to PLN 25.99, i.e. by two zlotys. The student package will be only one zloty more expensive – PLN 14.99 instead of PLN 13.99.
New, higher prices have already appeared on YouTube’s website, but for now only new users will pay more. Current users will have to reach deeper into their pockets from December (it may be the beginning or even the end of the month – depending on when the billing period ends for a given user). “This is not an easy decision for us, but changing the price will allow us to continue to improve the Premium service and support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube,” the email reads.
YouTube Premium increases were basically a matter of time. Interestingly, the family package remained there at the unchanged price of $22.99. monthly. However, we are pleased with the fact that even after the increase, we can use Premium in Poland at much lower prices than Americans.
