What is the difference between e-TOLL and e-TOLL TICKET? KAS withdraws from recommending the e-TOLL application?

According to AutoŚwiat.pl, the National Tax Administration withdraws from recommending the e-TOLL PL application to drivers of passenger cars as a “convenient and safe method of payment” for using the A2 and A4 motorways. In an e-mail sent to journalists, KAS suggests that car drivers buy tickets online or at gas stations.

“If you are a driver and you want to use the fastest and most convenient form of payment for using the motorway on the state A2 sections, select the e-TOLL PL TICKET application. In the application you can buy an e-motorway ticket for a specific motorway section” – he encourages in the press release.

The e-TOLL PL TICKET application is dedicated to light vehicle users and is used to purchase a motorway e-ticket on toll sections of the Konin-Stryków and A4 Wrocaw-Sośnica motorways. Drivers wishing to use the application must provide:

• registration number,
• vehicle category,
• car registration country,
• date and time and route.

Application for truck drivers – e-TOLL PL

explained in the announcement that the e-TOLL PL application was created for truck drivers. The tool is used to transfer geolocation data to the e-TOLL system and supports the transport of SENT sensitive goods. The application is used for electronic tolls and payment for toll sections of motorways. e-TOLL PL is valid on all national roads and the toll road network in Poland. To start the application, you must provide detailed vehicle data (except for the cases of downloading data from CEPIK) and billing data.

How are the two applications different? The e-TOLL Bilet PL application does not track the route, and its purpose is only to collect the payment and register the “ordered” trip in the system. The registration number and travel time of the paid car are then sent to the e-TOLL application.
