The corporation said that the number of OS users reached a record high at the end of October. The release of HarmonyOS 4, the current version of the operating system, took place in early August. According to Huawei representatives, already on the day of launch, the beta version of HarmonyOS was installed on a million gadgets.
The company also noted that a week after the launch, the OS was installed on 5 million gadgets, and a month later – on 10 million devices. Huawei announced the figure of 60 million system installations at the end of September.
According to journalists, HarmonyOS is extremely popular in China. The operating system is available for smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, wearable devices and other devices. The developers of HarmonyOS 4 emphasized that in the new version of the system, operating speed has been increased by 20 percent, and battery life has increased by about 30 minutes.
The first version of HarmonyOS was introduced in August 2019. The operating system replaced Android and Google services, to which Huawei lost access due to American sanctions.
At the end of September, the Chinese corporation Huawei launched a new brand of expensive smartphones. Under the Ultimate Design brand, the company will produce luxury smartphones and accessories for them.
