A large fog bank that engulfed a highway caused a pileup of at least 158 vehicles with a death toll of seven in the southern US state of Louisiana, authorities said on Monday.
The so-called “super fog,” which U.S. media reported was caused by a combination of fire smoke and dense fog, caused massive congestion on Interstate 55 about 30 miles (48 kilometers) from New Orleans, New Orleans State Police said. .
