The United States National Hurricane Center (CNH) has announced that Hurricane ‘Otis’ has reached Category 5 and is expected to make landfall on Mexico’s southern coast late Tuesday or Wednesday.

“‘Otis’ is rapidly intensifying to become a Category 5 hurricane. Catastrophic damage is likely as the hurricane’s core moves toward the coast,” the CNH published on its social networking account X, formerly Twitter.

Experts believe the storm will bring heavy rainfall, leaving between 5 and 10 inches (12.7 to 25.4 centimeters) of water on Oaxaca’s coast.which will cause urban flooding and landslides indicates Europe Press.
