Bloomberg: Generative AI will appear in all Apple gadgets

Apple will implement generative artificial intelligence (AI) support across all of its devices. Bloomberg reports this.

Agency columnist Mark Gurman noted that Apple has already acquired several startups involved in the study of AI. The divisions of the corporation that will develop and support generative AI tools will be headed by vice presidents John Giannandrea, Craig Federighi and Eddie Cue.

The company intends to add AI support to all its gadgets, as well as to many services. In addition, Apple engineers are working on an artificial intelligence-based tool for developers that will allow them to create applications and services. The company will reportedly spend about a billion dollars a year on AI.

Mark Gurman also found out that Apple believes that the company has lost the “battle for artificial intelligence” to its competitors. However, the leaders of the IT giant are confident that security and privacy issues will need to be resolved before widespread adoption of AI.

In early October, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that Apple was studying ChatGPT and similar chatbots. The entrepreneur noted that his company is interested in creating a competitor to the popular chatbot.
