The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), made up of 57 countries, agreed in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Wednesday to take the necessary measures to “force Israel to end all its violations, attacks and crimes” against the Palestinian people. .

That was the final conclusion of the OIC’s urgent and extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers, which welcomes all Islamic countries, including some non-Arab countries such as Iran, Pakistan and Indonesia.

The resolution also agreed to “work to provide international protection for the Palestinian people.”

To achieve this, the OIC has instructed the Secretary-General of the Organization to contact the permanent members of the Security Council and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the European and African Union and other organizations such as the League. Likewise, he reiterated his call for the international community to deliver humanitarian aid, medical aid, water and electricity to the Palestinian enclave, as well as the urgent opening of humanitarian corridors to effectively deliver supplies and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.

According to the OIC, Israel’s attacks are a ‘collective punishment’ against the Palestinian population, which it subjugates and besieges with ‘famine policies’ and ‘mass forced displacement’.

For this reason, he insisted on preserving the lives of all citizens and showed his categorical rejection against the “Palestinian exodus from their land imposed by Israel” which would imply “transferring the crisis to neighboring countries” such as Egypt and Jordan.
