This is what’s left of Titan. The last elements of the bathyscaphe and possible human remains were recovered

The US Coast Guard recovered the last missing parts of the Titan submersible from the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, which imploded in June, killing five passengers. Presumably human remains were also found at a depth of 3.8 km. Passengers died trying to see the wreck of the Titanic with their own eyes.

The last elements of the Titan submersible have been recovered from the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, it reported, citing the United States Coast Guard. These are fragments of the submarine with which five people tried to swim to the wreck of the Titanic.

The last elements of the Titan wreck have been recovered. Possible human remains were also found

American services managed to recover the last elements of the Titan submarine wreck from a depth of approximately 3,800 meters. Among the fragments recovered was a titanium dome-like cover for the stern section of the ship. This element (seen in the photo above) withstood the powerful implosion of the bathyscaphe and was found almost intact.

It was also reported that additional remains, presumably human ones, had been recovered from the wreck. They were transported for analysis by American specialists. Like previous elements of Titan, the titanium dome and other fragments of the ship were found approximately 488 meters from the Titanic wreck.

What happened to Titan? It is believed that the bathyscaphe imploded

The Titan case was followed by almost the entire world in the second half of June. Communication with the bathyscaphe was lost immediately after the unit immersed in the Atlantic. Despite an extensive search, pieces of the ship were found at the bottom a few days later. It is believed that the submarine suddenly imploded (collapsed under pressure), killing all five people on board. The purpose of the expedition was to see and photograph the wreck of the British transatlantic liner.

The elements were recovered by the US Coast Guard as part of a continuation of the mission to recover the wreck of the bathyscaphe in cooperation with the US Navy. The first elements of the unit were fished out of the Atlantic at the end of June.
