During this weekend the first Beta of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was opened and at Doctor Tecno we were able to test it.
The Modern Warfare III beta has been split into two different weekends, with more maps and game modes planned during the beta. The multiplayer maps will be familiar to anyone who has played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009), with the latest technical developments and modern movement mechanics for a completely new experience.
Weekend One was available exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Players who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation had access to the beta starting Friday, October 6. Starting on Sunday, October 8 at 10 a.m. PT, the rest of the PlayStation community could start playing the beta. The weekend beta ends tomorrow, Tuesday, October 10.
Weekend One: Maps and Modes
Weekend One started with four maps and four game modes at the start of the Early Access period, and an additional map and mode were added on Sunday.
Main cards
Favela
Set in Rio de Janeiro, the Favela topography offers several options to attack enemy operators. New movement mechanisms can be used to navigate rooftops more easily than ever.
estate
Fight for position in the cabin or move around the wooded area to flank opponents. Watch out for enemies lurking around the scattered buildings, and be prepared to switch to a melee weapon when facing the operators inside.
Skidrow
Cruise the streets of Skidrow and use the new Tac-Stance to navigate the tight turns of this urban environment. Fight through the central building or take the tunnel and alleys to surround your enemies. There are plenty of opportunities here.
Rust (open beta)
Fight for your position at the top of the tower or use the various obstacles on the map to avoid detection on the ground. It’s all about making the most of your corners in this infamous desert environment. Use your full range of charging equipment to gain an advantage over the enemy team.
Land War Map – Popov Power Plant
Break through the defenses of the Popov Power Plant. Look above and below for snipers, armored vehicles and enemies emerging from large concrete buildings. Prepare for all the forms of combat available in Modern Warfare III, because you’ll experience them all in the powerhouse.
Game modes
Team duel: Teamwork is used to eliminate enemy players and reach the score limit.
Domination: Capture and hold up to three flags to earn points for your team.
Hot spot: Capture and hold the Hardpoint (an area that changes location during the game) to earn points for your team.
Confirmed cancellation (open beta): Team deathmatch with a twist. Take out enemies and grab the badges they drop to earn points for your team. Pick up a teammate’s badges to prevent the enemy from scoring.
Ground war: Large-scale conflict with vehicles. Capture and hold goals to score. By capturing objectives, the team gains access to new respawning points. Like Domination, but with more objectives.
Weekend one progress
Players can reach a maximum level of 20 during the first weekend of the Modern Warfare III beta. As you reach more player levels, you’ll unlock more charging weapons that you can use after you reach player level 4, when custom charging weapons become available.
3 most important tips for Weekend One
It’s helpful to take advantage of the first weekend of the beta to reach the initial level cap and get comfortable with the game. Custom gear is accessible at level 4, so you can experiment with unlocks up to level 20.
Although they are familiar areas, Modern Warfare III’s new speed and movement mechanics will change the way you navigate these classic maps. Enhanced speed can be used to flank enemies faster and more effectively.
Take advantage of the early beta period to fine-tune your game settings and see what works best for Weekend 2 and launch. (JO)
