Ghacks: Lenovo introduced a series of inexpensive PCs on Android instead of Windows

The Chinese company Lenovo has released a line of inexpensive computers with the Android operating system instead of Windows. This was reported by Ghacks.

The corporation said that Android is cheaper than Microsoft’s OS and is also easier to install and configure. A special version of the Android operating system from the Esper Foundation was installed on the brand’s PC.

The series of presented devices will be intended for corporate use – retail, hospitality, healthcare, education. Thus, the ThinkCentre M70a model has a touch display, a 12th generation Intel Core processor, supports up to 16 gigabytes of RAM and up to 512 gigabytes of internal memory.

The cost of the device is $1,679, or about 170 thousand rubles. The company said that the PC is noticeably cheaper than its Windows counterparts. Lenovo also clarified that Windows or Linux will remain optional systems, and Android will be installed for free.

In early October, Lansweeper analysts said that Windows 11 was unpopular due to high system requirements. Thus, in the corporate sector, the new OS is installed on only 8.35 percent of devices, while Windows 10 is installed on 80.5 percent.
