With in the motto “Tricolor of letters from the middle of the world” will develop seventeenth edition of the International Fair op Book from Laurens, Massachusetts (UNITED STATES). One of the themes to highlight is Ecuador and includes a tribute to Guayaquil writer José de la Cuadra.

This is one of the most important cultural events in Massachusetts and will take place on October 20, 21 and 22, 2023. In addition, there will be participation from the Ecuadorian writer Elsie Cano and the Ecuadorian poet Álex Lima.

The event includes concerts, forums, a film, workshops, poetry readings, a meeting, the annual dinner with typical Ecuadorian food, music and dance.

Ángela Echavarría, President of the Board of Directors of Book Fair Inc., responsible for organizing this event, explains that the choice of country is made by vote of the Board of Directors and on this occasion Ecuador was selected.

The Children’s Fair will be held on Saturday, October 21st at the Lawrence Public Library and the Youth Fair will be held at the Lawrence High School facilities on Friday, October 20th. This fair takes place in various places in the city, but Entry to each space is free and open access. (JO)
