Wozniak was invited by the Ministry of Education and Science and the GovTech Center to the first special lesson in business and management – a new subject that has replaced the previous basics of entrepreneurship in schools since September. Only a handful of students from one of Warsaw’s high schools physically attended the “lesson”, but the lesson is to be addressed to all 532,000 students. secondary school students who are learning a new subject. You can, of course, see it remotely. The ministry published a recording of the event on YouTube.
The meeting was basically an interview lasting about 50 minutes with Steve Wozniak, who talked about the years of his youth, the devices and inventions he built and the jokes for which he is famous to this day. He also advised on how to pursue your passions and how to approach starting your own business.
When you have a business idea, you need to find people who are willing to do it with you to truly succeed. You can’t do it yourself. For a start-up to be successful, you need three elements, and one person rarely has them – sometimes two, sometimes three: business acumen, marketing skills, problem-solving thinking. Three disciplines – business, marketing, engineering – must cooperate with each other from the very beginning
– Steve Wozniak, quoted on the gov.pl website, said to the students.
