The links on X look hopeless. And it was supposed to be more transparent
Since Thursday, X has completely changed the way links are displayed. Until now, when we included a link to any website in a post, X displayed a frame with a photo, article title and source in its place. The page headers have just been deleted. Now only a large photo is displayed in posts and the website from which the photo comes is marked in its background.
Not only does it look quite unintuitive, but it can also mislead the Internet user. At first glance, it is difficult to recognize that we are dealing with a link to an external website and not a photo published by a given account on , which makes it difficult to use the portal.

However, the change should not come as a big surprise. Elon Musk already announced in August that X would change the way links are displayed. It was also supposed to be the billionaire’s idea. According to the richest man on Earth, the new version is more aesthetic and looks better.
Currently, the new way of displaying links has been implemented in the application for iOS devices and in the browser version. The X app on Android still shows web messages the old way, but we can be sure that this will change soon.
