Blogger PhoneBuff compared the strength of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

A blogger under the nickname PhoneBuff compared the strength of flagship smartphones from Apple and Samsung. The corresponding video was published on the author’s YouTube channel.

As part of the testing, an enthusiast dropped the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones using a special machine from a height of 1.5 meters. The devices fell onto a concrete slab. During the first round of testing, the smartphones were dropped with the back panel down – the Samsung device was almost undamaged, but the glass on the 15 Pro Max case was cracked.

In the second round, the author dropped the devices with the side frame down. As a result, the Galaxy S23 Ultra received damage at the end of the case, and the titanium frame of the iPhone 15 Pro Max was left with only minor scratches. In the final round of the test, PhoneBuff dropped the devices face down. Both phones suffered significant cracks on the display, but the screen, as well as the front cameras, continued to work.

In conclusion, the authors stated that the Apple smartphone received a score of 37 points, while the competitive model from Samsung received 39 points. The blogger recommended using smartphones of any brand with a case that will protect the gadgets from physical contact.

At the end of September, blogger JerryRigEverything told how he broke the iPhone 15 Pro Max during a strength test. The author tried to bend the flagship in half: the device did not bend, but the back panel of the device was cracked.
