Given the dramatic events that took place at a high school in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, where a 14-year-old student stabbed three teachers and two students, the question is what prompted so much violence at his age? and in response, bullying begins to appear.
The boy with Asperger’s was apparently the target of ridicule, El Español reported on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
“His autism spectrum disorder did not hinder his studies in any way, but it did make him the victim of ridicule by his classmates,” the media said.
A student at the institute described the situation according to El Español: “They were joking with him and laughing at him. But they didn’t hit him or anything like that. “It wasn’t bullying.”
At Antena 3 they also consulted with colleagues from the Elena García Armada educational unit and thought: “I couldn’t take it anymore and that’s why it broke out.”

Did they not see the signs of bullying?
Antena 3 called the relatives of the young man who arrived at the institute on Thursday, September 28, with a few knives.
His relatives “do not understand how the center was not aware of the harassment.”
The events took place at the Elena García Armada Institute and the student was a third-year student of compulsory secondary education (ESO).

However, Alejandra Castillo, the owner, spoke for the Association of Mothers and Fathers of Students (AMPA) of the education center.
“If what happened happened, something went wrong (…) it is sad to see how it seems that everything was so clear and that we had no data,” since “in the AMPA, of course, we received absolutely nothing. We know the institute didn’t know anything either. The course had just started, everything that was said seemed strange to us. Clearly something went wrong,” Castillo told Antena 3.
She was surprised by what they said about bullying: “There are a lot of kids who say they were bullied when, like I said, we were only in school for two weeks,” the outlet published.
Bullying affects both the victim and the perpetrator. What actions should be taken?
“I am going to kill you”
On Thursday morning, September 28, that boy went to the back of the classroom, according to witnesses.
“He opened the suitcase, took out two knives, stabbed my friend and there was panic,” a student told Antena 3.
“He stabbed a teacher who was in the classroom in the eye,” said another student. “He said, ‘I’m going to kill you’ and we were shocked,” said another boy.
