Reports about iPhone 15 heating up too much have been appearing for several days now. during normal use or charging.
That’s for sure. iPhone 15 and 15 Pro have temperature problems
Some people write on social media that even when using the iPhone 15 or 15 Pro normally, the phone cases become too hot to hold them comfortably in the hand. However, the problem occurs primarily during phone calls, gaming and wired charging of Apple phones. According to numerous tests that appear on the Internet all the time, the backs of smartphones heat up to over 40 degrees Celsius during less demanding tasks, and even up to 50 degrees during gaming.
They checked their copies, among others: journalists and in their case the case heated up to 42.2 degrees Celsius while browsing Instagram and to 40.6 degrees while charging. During tests, DXOMARK recorded a maximum temperature of 45.6 degrees Celsius for the iPhone 15 and 43.9 degrees for the iPhone 15 Pro Max case. Neither the iPhone 13 nor any of the tested Android smartphones even came close to these results.
Initially, it may have seemed that the problems with iPhone 15 were a matter of significant load on the computing system by the data restoration process running in the background in the first hours after launching the new device. However, it is now clear that – at least for some users – temperature problems do not disappear even many days after a new configuration.
Is Apple hiding its head in the sand? The company has yet to respond to the reports
The problem is becoming more and more urgent. What’s worse, it is still not known what element of the iPhone 15 can cause much higher temperatures than last year’s iPhone 14. There are few changes compared to the previous generation, and the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro are quite different from each other, and they heat up comparably. The reason for the problems is not the new Apple A17 Pro processor, because it was not included in the cheaper version of the Fifteen. The situation is identical with the titanium frame, which replaced aluminum only in the Pro and Pro Max variants.
What’s worse, despite the growing number of reports, Apple has still not commented on the matter. It’s hard to suspect that Apple hasn’t heard about the problem that’s clearly taking place. Perhaps the company still does not know what may be causing the problems and is refraining from publishing an official announcement on this matter.
