Inconvenience for PKO BP customers. You won’t pay for online purchases and you won’t use the app

PKO Bank Polski warns about difficulties for customers, which may occur at night from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday. The largest Polish bank has planned technical work for this time. The following will not work, among others: payments in online stores.

Polish banks periodically announce interruptions in the functioning of online banking or even the possibility of paying by card in order to carry out necessary technical work. Now PKO Bank Polski has informed about such breaks.

Two technical breaks at PKO BP. Inconvenience to customers

PKO BP wrote that for the next two nights – from September 29 to 30 and from September 30 to October 1 – technical works are planned that could affect the operation of the bank’s services. The first technical break will start at 11 p.m. on Friday and will last until 5 a.m. on Saturday. The second one will take place at the same times from Saturday to Sunday.

The bank warns that during technical works “there may be temporary interruptions in the availability” of several services. This is about:

  • pkobp.pl website and other bank websites;
  • iPKO online and telephone service, IKO mobile application and open banking function;
  • iPKO biznes website and mobile application and PKO Junior.

Additionally, there may be problems with sending money transfers and with online payments in online stores. However, PKO BP emphasizes that all physical payment cards will work normally. This applies both to ATMs and stationary stores.

It is therefore worth postponing any matters in online and mobile banking until Saturday or settling them before 11 p.m. on Friday. The same applies to online shopping.
