Samsung is not going to increase prices for new smartphones of the flagship Galaxy S series. This is reported by the SamMobile edition.
According to sources, the Korean company will keep the prices for smartphones of the Galaxy S22 series, which will be released in early 2022, at the same level as the old ones. So, the basic device of the line will be priced at $ 800 – the same price as the Galaxy S21. Insiders also revealed that the affordable Galaxy S21 FE will be priced at $ 700. Its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 FE, had a similar cost.
The authors could not figure out how much Samsung will rate the other devices in the series – Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra. So, on the international market, the predecessors of these devices – Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra – were available for at least $ 999 and $ 1199. In Russia, the Galaxy S21 presented in early January went on sale at a price of 74,990 rubles.
Journalists believe that thanks to this pricing policy, Samsung intends to maintain a leading position in the smartphone market and successfully sell new devices.
