A Chucky doll, prisoner? It was not a scene from a horror movie, it really corresponded to an unusual situation of insecurity in Mexico.
In Monclova, a town in Coahuila, an alleged attacker of passers-by was accompanied by a ‘Chucky’, the devil doll, to further intimidate: it was the popular figure, with a battered face and red hair, who carried a knife.
The man put a real knife in his doll’s hands and used it to scare and attack people, TeleDiario reports.
The police not only arrested the suspect; Chucky “was also detained, even handcuffed, so it went viral on social networks,” Paola Barquet reported, according to the aforementioned media.
At El Universal, they indicated that Monclova police officers had taken the doll and its owner into custody. The suspect apparently went out to commit the crimes under the influence of illegal substances.

“Carlos ‘N.’ and Chucky were taken to municipal prisons (detention centers) on charges of disrupting the peace and endangering the integrity of people,” El Universal explains.
However, in Fuerza Informativa Azteca they said that Carlos “N.” They arrested him for administrative misconduct, but he was released.
He put the doll in their face and scared people, it’s a violation, that’s why he was arrested. He complied with his arrest and was released, the person came with his doll.

A joke that paid off
Putting handcuffs on “Chucky” was done at the “insistence” of the media, the same press indicated. The policewoman agreed: she attached the ‘hooks’ to the doll and they photographed and recorded it on video. It immediately went viral.
But the officer carrying the scary doll in the photo will be ‘punished’. According to Infobae, “While many found it funny that the doll was arrested as if it were a real person, the officer who detained the man will be arrested, investigated and in her case punished ‘for not taking her job seriously.’
Some people comment on social networks about the scene of the handcuffed “Chucky”: “Things you wouldn’t see if you lived in Switzerland”, “My magical Mexico” and “I hope he is not smarter than Chapo and that they missing it.’
