As part of his preparation, Ecuadorian driver Juan Manuel Correa is in Quito to recharge his energy to be ready for the second part of the season with the Telmex Claro Team.

With the Mexican team, the 23-year-old Quito driver will continue to participate in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, which is the prelude to the highest category of world motorsport, F1.

“For me it is a pride to be able to represent Ecuador and all of Latin America in the Formula 2 and WEC (World Endurance Championship) world championships,” said the tricolor during a meeting with the media at the Dos Hemisferios kartdrome in Quito. .

At the event, Correa commented on the differences between the F2 and the F3; category in which he previously ran. “They are different technically and in terms of engine power, but they ride the same in the sense that they have a lot of aerodynamics, good brakes and a lot of power.”

After giving his point of view at the press conference, which took place in the driver’s room of the sports complex, the national motorist got into a go karting and drove a number of laps around the circuit together with journalists influencers.

Following this activity, Correa demonstrated his joy to be “back in Formula 2 full-time because it means more to me than most people can imagine. Being on this grid is not only an achievement in itself, but it is also the realization of a goal that has been the epicenter of my efforts for the past three years, so it is a very emotional achievement,” he said.

In passing he thanked Claro for the support he received. “With your support, I will be able to stay in touch with my team, my fans and my country, share every step of my exciting journey and take the sport to new heights.”

Xavier Reyes, Claro’s Alliance and Digital Communications Manager, emphasized that “technology and sport come together in a perfect symbiosis, and this collaboration is clear proof of that. Our telecommunication services enable us to connect people with their passion for sport and stay informed about the performance of our athletes.”

As part of its commitment to promoting Juan Manuel, Claro will closely monitor all of his activities within Formula 2, in what can be termed one of motorsport’s most remarkable achievements. The same monitoring that the telecommunications company also performs on weightlifters Neisi Dajomes, Tamara Salazar and Angie Palacios. To those who support their careers, reflect on the development of Ecuadorian talent and motivate young people to pursue their goals.

The days that the Ecuadorian driver stays in the country will be full of activities linked to his passion for wheels, for example this Sunday he will be present at the award ceremony of one of the valid copies of the provincial championship of karting.
