SamMobile: Samsung Ends Support for Galaxy Note 10 Series Smartphones

The South Korean corporation Samsung will stop providing support to users of smartphones of the Galaxy Note 10 line, SamMobile reports.

Media journalists referred to the announcement of the company, in which Samsung recognized the devices as obsolete and stopped supporting them. The report states that the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will no longer receive any updates. The devices came out in August 2019.

The corporation noted that previously popular devices will not receive any updates, including various patches. This means that it may not be safe to use Galaxy Note 10 series smartphones. The phones went on sale with the Android 9 operating system, the latest supported OS for flagships was Android 12.

The authors noted that in January 2020, Samsung released the continuation of the Galaxy Note 10 Lite series. Unlike earlier devices of the line, this model will continue to receive security patches.

In early September, TrendForce analysts predicted the leadership of the American company Apple in the global smartphone market thanks to the brand’s new devices. It is expected that the corporation will replace the current leader Samsung.
