Parents were given advice on choosing the first smartphone for a child

IT-specialist Kuvikov: you need to choose a gadget for a child, taking into account his activity

Choosing the first smartphone for a child, you need to consider how active he is. Such advice was given by Denis Kuvikov, director of the SafeNet regional engineering center of the National Technology Initiative (NTI), in an interview with RT.

He noted that active children are best to purchase a smartphone with protection against water and dust. In addition, a caller ID and a locator should be installed on the phone, which will allow relatives to track the whereabouts of the child and help find the lost gadget, Kuvikov added.

He also recommended limiting the amount of time you use the Internet so that the child does not sit on the phone at night. In addition, the expert continued, it is worth regularly checking with whom the child communicates in messengers, but before that, you need to gently explain to the child the need for such measures.

The specialist suggested choosing a smartphone on the Android platform, since countries friendly to Russia produce and consistently supply equipment mainly on this operating system. He clarified that when choosing a phone, first of all, you should pay attention to the battery capacity. According to Kuvikov, the cost of the first phone should not exceed 15,000 rubles.

Previously, Android users were advised to store data in password-protected folders to protect the smartphone from being hacked. It was also clarified that, for security reasons, it is necessary to disable the ability to download third-party applications and the autofill function of data in accounts.
