Vallenatos singer stabbed his manager during a fight in Barranquilla: why he attacked Juancho Daza

A fight, started by an alleged motive of passion, ended with the arrest of a vallenatos singer and his manager in the hospital.

The violent events took place in an apartment in the Portal de Miramar residential complex, in Barranquilla, Colombia, on the night of Sunday, August 27, 2023.

The singer Luis Rafael Costa Solano – whom they call Luisra – attacked his client, Juancho Daza, several times with a knife.

On Monday, August 28, El Universal revealed that “the fight would have been because Daza sent some risqué photos to LuisRa’s sentimental partner via WhatsApp.”

This medium adds that “the woman immediately told her husband and he demanded her by force.”

Who is Luisra Solano?

Shocked by the news, Luisra’s mother said that everything happened very quickly. Sily Zulay Solano, quoted in El Heraldo, said on the same Monday afternoon “we can only pray for Juancho that God can get him out of this.”

He described his son as “a very calm kid, I always gave him confidence and helped with everything with his music.”

With regard to his career, Infobae pointed out that “he was part of Silvestre Dangond’s record label Music Dreams, and some time later he hit the ground running with songs like En la nota, Plan B, QLR, Tell it to my face and I want to fall in love with you .”

Police learned of the altercation between Solano and Daza because “according to the warning, it was the artist who went down to wreak havoc on a car parked in a parking lot with a fire extinguisher.” There would be a video of that action.

The official report, to which El Heraldo had access, states: “The person with the above characteristics comes out of the elevator, whom we observed with blood on his hands and face. He was immediately intercepted and a search warrant was issued, identifying him as Luis Rafael Costa Solano. The subject manifests itself in front of us: Up here I killed him so that he respects”.

On social networks, Joaco Guillén, also manager, said on Tuesday, August 29, that his colleague Daza “is stable, according to the medical report.”

Earlier, El Heraldo had reported that Juancho Daza “underwent an exploratory laparotomy to verify the damage to the abdominal region.”

On social networks, the topic is widely commented on, with their respective criticisms of both men. To one by force; the other for, supposedly, “messing around with someone else’s wife.”

For the vallenato singer’s mother, “the two families are going through a really bad time, this happened very quickly.”
