T-Mobile Polska announced the conclusion of cooperation with the Vectra Group, which will allow the operator to provide Internet access in subsequent homes without the need to expand the infrastructure.
T-Mobile Polska will benefit from Vectra’s range. 4 million potential customers
The agreement signed by both companies will allow T-Mobile to provide access to fiber-optic internet for people living in places where the Vectra network already has its infrastructure. The Magent operator declares that such a move will allow to provide fast Internet access to the largest possible number of customers in Poland.
T-Mobile calculated that the agreement will allow access to 4 million new customers in our country. This is – as the operator defines – another milestone in development, because so far T-Mobile’s fiber optic network has reached 6 million customers. This was possible thanks to contracts with several companies, e.g. Orange, Fiber Investments, Nexera and Fiberhost.
A comprehensive range of services for the whole home is the basis of our development strategy. That is why, on the one hand, we are constantly looking for new solutions that we will be able to enrich our portfolio with, but on the other hand, we want to develop the availability of our services so that as many people as possible can enjoy the highest quality of T-Mobile. Today we are taking another step in this direction. Thanks to the agreement with the Vectra Group, we will gradually gain access to approx. 4 million households, which will significantly increase the number of people who can take advantage of our convergent offer
– said Andreas Maierhofer, President of the Management Board of T-Mobile Polska
Vectra claims, however, that the contract with T-Mobile “strengthens the position” of Vectra as “a key infrastructure provider in Poland”. The chain says the collaboration will help further develop and modernize its infrastructure. At the same time, Vectra is not to be afraid of the outflow of customers to the new partner. As stated by Vectra’s press office in a comment for the website “based on previous experience”, the company believes that there is no such threat. The value of the contract has not been disclosed by either party.
