MacRumors: Apple intends to sell a record number of premium smartphones

The expensive iPhone 15 Pro Max accounted for up to 40 percent of Apple’s shipments. This is reported by MacRumors.

Media journalists referred to a report by an authoritative insider Ming-Chi Ko, who said that Apple has relied on the production of expensive smartphones. So, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the most advanced device in the series, will account for 35-40 percent of the total shipments. The share of the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 and 15 Plus will fit into the remaining 60-65 percent.

In 2022, the share of the most expensive flagship, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, was also high, but not to record levels, according to Koh. The author said that last year’s top device accounted for up to 20 percent of the total supply. From this Ming-Chi Ko concluded that Apple intends to sell a huge number of premium devices.

Ko said that the company believes in the success of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. It is expected that a distinctive feature of the smartphone will be a camera with a periscope lens, which will provide five or six times optical zoom. The announcement of the iPhone 15 series should take place on September 12 or 13.

Earlier, MTS was the first in Russia to announce the launch of pre-orders for the iPhone 15. The company offered to purchase a virtual certificate for 50 thousand rubles, which will then be counted towards the cost of the new iPhone.
