“You feel disconnected from the physical world, weightless.” A British actor is certain that he lay dead for seven minutes and had a heart attack.

He had just finished lunch with his wife when the emergency occurred. It was February 9, 2013 and Shiv Grewal says he is convinced that they have ‘revived’ him.

When her partner, Alison, called 911 for her husband, Shiv had a shocking experience: “I somehow knew he was dead.”

During the time he said he was on the “other plane,” he learned about reincarnation.

His words, collected in the New York Post, were offered to PA Real Life. In those eternal seven minutes, he assures, “I was presented with a whole range of possibilities, different lives and reincarnations.”

“I made it very clear that I wanted to go back to my body, to my time, to my wife and get on with my life,” he says, according to Expresso Press.

After returning to this world, he says, he remained in an induced coma for a month. He developed epilepsy and has a pacemaker.

Seven Minutes “Dead”

Shiv is from London and ten years later his testimony makes headlines with violence.

He explains what he experienced as follows: “I had no body as such. I think it was a bit like swimming in water: you feel weightless and disconnected from the physical world.

“I felt things completely separate from my body. It was like being in a vacuum, but I could feel emotions,” the actor adds.

While in the “afterlife,” he points out that “at one point I traveled on the moon and could see meteorites and all of space,” the New York Post reports.

The British media emphasize that as a result of the heart attack, he suffered from cerebral hypoxia (lack of oxygen in the brain), which led to epilepsy. And because of the damage to his heart, they put a stent in his main artery.

What he remembers feeling in those seven minutes he will reflect in an artistic exhibition called Reboot, which opens in September. After that episode, he took to drawing and painting.

Shiv didn’t have to respond to those who didn’t believe he was dead for seven minutes and the doctors managed to bring him back to life. Something is clear to him and the New York Post summarizes it this way: “I am less afraid of death, but at the same time more afraid, because I have realized how valuable everything I have in life.” (JO)
