Luis Castillo, in the United States, declares that he is proud when he sees his son face to face, in uniform like him: as a commercial airline pilot.
Now approaching retirement, as Univisión News reported, life rewarded Luis Castillo with the gift of flying by his side, in the same cabin. He hopes they meet again soon in an airship.
“I was in a completely different career. For whatever reason, all my experiences somehow always brought me back to aviation, and finally I decided to accept it,” Luis Castillo, Jr. told People Chica.
When he took the commitment, he recalled calling his father, “I asked him for his guidance on the road to becoming a pilot.”

The father says he did not think his son decided to become a pilot, but he declares himself happy that the dream he cherished at the time came true: “We fly together.”

“When he finally told me he was going to be a pilot, I was very proud.” He just asked him if he could do it soon, before his retirement, which should arrive around May 2024.

Captain Castillo says he grew up in East Los Angeles, where he believed the opportunity to work with airplanes was a long way off for a Hispanic.
“I never thought I would become a pilot,” the father tells Univisión.
