James Bernard Hendricks lived in Austin, Texas, and traveled to the state of Utah to say goodbye to his father.

Hendricks, 66, had disappeared on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, and Telemundo Utah reported that he was found lifeless “in a parking lot near the start of a trail in Arches National Park, located in a desert north of Moab.”

The sister said that for James Hendricks, “the whole universe was alive, from humans to fossils and stardust.”

Perhaps that led him to Arches National Park (Arches), which “protects more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches, such as the world-famous Delicate Arch and other rare rock formations,” the National Service described on its United States Parks site.

“Now we are all in mourning,” the relative complained,” the Spanish media added. “My brother was loved by many people because he was kind and sweet and made friends easily.”
