This is an unusual case: a family couldn’t get out of the pain of the physical loss of a member, when it was their turn to say goodbye to another in an unexpected way.
“It’s a terrible shock,” says the sister of a sixty-year-old man who died when he said goodbye to his father, Antena 3 reports.
The man died as “he was about to scatter his father’s ashes” in a national park in the United States, the media reported.
“If anything happens to me, it’s her fault”: After her husband’s death, a woman writes a book about how to overcome grief and now they are investigating whether she poisoned him with fentanyl
Who was the man who died scattering ashes?
James Bernard Hendricks lived in Austin, Texas, and traveled to the state of Utah to say goodbye to his father.
Hendricks, 66, had disappeared on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, and Telemundo Utah reported that he was found lifeless “in a parking lot near the start of a trail in Arches National Park, located in a desert north of Moab.”

The sister said that for James Hendricks, “the whole universe was alive, from humans to fossils and stardust.”
Perhaps that led him to Arches National Park (Arches), which “protects more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches, such as the world-famous Delicate Arch and other rare rock formations,” the National Service described on its United States Parks site.

what did he die of
The 60-year-old, as reported by Telemundo, came to publish on his networks that he would make a stop “in Utah to spread his father’s ashes as he traveled to the Sierra Nevada and California.”
On July 28, he said he would go to Arches National Park “at sunrise” because he planned to get the best shots.
Authorities believe the man died of heat stroke. “They found the deceased with an empty water bottle,” said Antena 3.
“Now we are all in mourning,” the relative complained,” the Spanish media added. “My brother was loved by many people because he was kind and sweet and made friends easily.”
