SamMobile: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra screen brightness will be a record

The South Korean corporation Samsung is preparing a smartphone that will receive a super-bright front panel. This is reported by SamMobile.

The journalists of the portal referred to report an insider under the name itnyang, who said that the screen brightness of the next Samsung flagship will be at least 2200 nits. Another reputable IceUniverse insider noticedthat the front panel will be even more advanced – its brightness will be 2500 or even 2800 nits. Most likely, this device will be the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Apparently, this is a record level in the smartphone market. One of the most advanced devices in this indicator – the iPhone 14 Pro Max – has a panel with a maximum brightness of 2000 nits. Oppo Find X6 Pro screen brightness can reach 2500 nits in certain scenarios. As a rule, the display of the device activates the maximum brightness when using the device in direct sunlight.

SamMobile authors noted that Samsung can indeed implement a new generation of OLED front panel in its smartphones. However, in order to conserve battery power, the company can programmatically limit the brightness of the display. The release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra may take place in early 2024.

Earlier, an insider under the nickname Tech_Reve said that Samsung smartphones will receive a record resolution camera in the foreseeable future. The specialist learned that the company planned to release a sensor with a resolution of 440 megapixels.
