The H-1B visa, as Univisión describes it, is primarily used by workers in the high-tech industry and is intended for foreign professionals with college degrees, who perform specialized jobs that require theoretical or technical knowledge.

The H-1B visa lottery is, according to Clarín, a hopeful option to get the long-awaited residence permit for the United States.

Interested parties, the aforementioned American chain indicated, “must register and the permits will be granted on October 1.”

The fiscal year in that country begins on October 1 and ends on September 30 of the following year. H-1B visas for fiscal year 2024 will be issued starting October 1.
