9to5Mac: New Apple smartphones found in tvOS 17 code
Apple indirectly confirmed that four new brand smartphones will be released next fall. This is reported by the publication 9to5Mac.
Media journalists referred to Twitteraaronp613, a blogger who reviewed the source code for the beta version of tvOS 17, the operating system for Apple TVs. It turned out that the corporation’s engineers added four smartphones to the code – under the identifiers iPhone 15.4, iPhone 15.5, iPhone 16.1, iPhone 16.2.
Media authors explained that Apple usually adds information about new smartphones to its operating systems, which are successfully discovered by enthusiasts. The experts explained that the devices are divided by the families of microcircuits on which they are based. So, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 14 and iPhone SE 3rd generation were based on the same chip and were designated as iPhone 14.x.
The material notes that the presence of iPhone 16.1 and iPhone 16.2 identifiers can clearly indicate that the flagship iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will be released with the new generation Apple A17 Bionic processor.
Earlier, insiders reported that Apple is announcing the new iPhone 15 series smartphones through a pre-recorded video presentation. The presentation should take place on September 13, but can be rescheduled a day earlier.
