Technical breaks in two Polish banks. You will not pay for online purchases on Saturday

Banks Pekao SA and Nest Bank have planned technical breaks for Saturday. In both banks we will not use e.g. from internet banking. If you want to order something online, you’d better do it now.

Breaks in both banks are fortunately scheduled for the night, although they will last until the morning. At Bank Pekao, service work will start on Friday at 11:30 p.m. and will end at 6 a.m. on Saturday. At Nest Bank you will have to reckon with difficulties between 00:30 and 7 am on Saturday.

Mobile banking, BLIK and transfer authorization. What won’t work?

Significant difficulties will affect Nest Bank customers. According to , both online banking and the mobile app will be completely unavailable. The possibility of changing the limit of card payments on your own (in online banking) will also be blocked, you will not be able to use BLIK and Visa Mobile, and it will not be possible to confirm payments for card purchases on the Internet using electronic banking. The ability to pay for online purchases via the payment link will also be suspended. However, Nest Bank declares that payments with a payment card, smartphone via Apple Pay and Google Pay and watches (Fitbit, Garmin Pay) will work normally.

In the case of Bank Pekao, the difficulties will have a similar scale. During the work, customers will not be able to log in to the Pekao24 website and use its capabilities. The bank’s PeoPay application and the PeoPay KIDS and eTrader Pekao programs will also not work. This probably means you won’t be able to confirm your payment in the app. The bank promises that card payments and cash withdrawals from ATMs will be uninterrupted.
