Three people were injured by shots fired at a store of the popular Walmart chain in Florida City, southeastern Florida (US) on Wednesday afternoon.

Several police and rescue units came to the store around 3 p.m. today. Police sources report this to the portal Local 10 News that one subject was held while the search for at least one other continued.

The Miami-Dade Fire Department reported that three people were injured in the incident.

Two victims were taken to the Jackson South Ryder Trauma Center: one was airlifted; the other was taken by ambulance. The third victim was taken to a local hospital for “medical reasons”.

Police officers escorted customers out of the store, located at 3501 Dixie Hwy. Residents and employees watched as paramedics and officers worked on the scene.
