At least six people died, including a six-month-old baby, and another 16 were injured from the collapse of two buildings in the past 24 hours in the towns of Roseta and Alejandría.in Northern Egypt, several official sources reported.
This Sunday, three people died and another fourteen injuries of varying severity from the collapse of an eight-story building in the city of Rosetain Egypt’s Al Behera province, according to a statement from Egypt’s Interior Ministry.
Al Behera’s security directorate received information “of the collapse of an eight-story building”, for which civil defense teams “immediately” arrived on the scene and cordoned off the affected perimeter.
For its part, the official Egyptian news agency MENA said the dead included a 10-month-old baby and a 38-year-old, while at least five minors were injured.

He also pointed that out Authorities evacuated seven nearby buildings until the debris clearing process is complete.
Added to this event is another similar event that occurred yesterday, Saturday, when at least three people died and another two were injured when the balconies of the second and third floors of a building in the eastern Mediterranean city of Alexandria fell.
On June 28, ten people were killed and four more injured when a 14-story building collapsed, also in Alexandria.
House collapses are common in Egypt, especially in popular areas where, as local media have repeatedly denounced, builders do not take strict measures to ensure the safety of buildings and official inspections are not rigorous.
