Ukrainian President, Volodomir Zelenskythanked his Korean counterpart Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife Kim Keon Hee on Saturday for their collaboration “to save lives” in Ukraine and the surprise visit of solidarity they made.
“This is a very important visit, a very important collaboration and an important collaboration for our security,” Zelensky said through his Telegram account.
The Korean president arrived in Ukraine by surprise today with his wife and together they visited Irpin and Bucha where they paid tribute to the victims of Russian aggression and to the fallen Ukrainian soldiers.
Yoon Suk Yeol, in a joint appearance with Zelensky, said South Korea has increased its aid to Ukraine to $150 million after providing $100 million last year.
In the talks between the two presidents, cooperation for reconstruction after the war was also discussed.
At the moment, South Korea is proposing to create funds to rebuild the infrastructure and education system.
