World’s thinnest foldable smartphone unveiled

GSM Arena: Honor Launches 9.9mm Magic V2 Foldable Smartphone

The Chinese company Honor has released a folding smartphone Magic V2. This is reported by the publication GSM Arena.

The presented device has a case thickness of 9.9 mm when folded, and 4.7 mm when opened. The weight of the device is 231 grams. According to media journalists, the Honor device can be called the thinnest foldable smartphone in the world. The authors noted that the previous record belonged to Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, which had a thickness of 11.2 millimeters when folded and weighed 262 grams.

The Magic V2 features a 7.92-inch Foldable LTPO OLED main display and a 6.43-inch external LTPO OLED display on the outside. The flagship device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, has 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory.

The device is equipped with a camera with three lenses with a resolution of 50 megapixels each, the gadget can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second. The smartphone received a battery with a capacity of 5000 milliamp-hours with fast charging of 66 watts. The cost of the basic version of Honor Magic V2 was 8999 yuan, or about 113 thousand rubles.

Earlier, insiders revealed the cost of Samsung’s foldable devices, which the company will introduce at the end of July. According to experts, the cost of Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be 1200 euros, Galaxy Z Fold 5 – 1900 euros.
