Deputy Matveychev questioned the complete ban on Apple technology for Russians
Russia is unlikely to ban Apple equipment for all citizens of the country, said Oleg Matveychev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications. In an interview with Lenta.ru, he spoke about the restriction for employees of some government agencies to use corporation gadgets.
Most likely, it will concern certain structures. If they have any risks, they somehow analyze them. About a complete ban on users in private – no one even thought about this

“If experts say that there are risks of espionage, of course, it is better that these risks are minimized. We all understand that government agencies work both with secret documents and with various databases that can be used against [России]. If security experts say that there are risks, there is no reason not to believe them,” the deputy said.
According to Oleg Matveychev, Russians can continue to buy equipment from an American company for themselves.
“I think yes, if they are not embarrassed by the inconvenience that arose after certain sanctions things, if the price is not embarrassing, then for God’s sake,” the parliamentarian added.
