The Korea Herald: Apple Vision Pro glasses received record-breaking RAM
For the production of glasses Apple Vision Pro developed a special RAM. This is reported by The Korea Herald.
Apple has come up with a new type of Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) while creating augmented reality glasses, sources said. It is specified that this type of RAM allows you to instantly process data and transfer information to the user’s displays.
The DRAM modules were supplied by SK Hynix. Using unique RAM, the M2 CPU, R1 co-processor and visionOS OS process content from 12 cameras, 5 sensors and 6 microphones. Experts noted that DRAM modules allow you to receive and process information almost instantly – in 12 milliseconds, or 8 times faster than a human reaction.
Apple introduced Vision Pro augmented reality glasses on June 5th. The device allows you to work in mixed reality mode – adding virtual objects in front of the user. The cost of the new gadget was 3499 dollars, or about 315 thousand rubles, the device will be on sale in early 2024.
